A great example of a successful Social Business initiative in Bangladesh to fight exclusion by Cédric Villard

Driven by his altruism and a desire to help the poorest, Cédric Villard who had collaborated with Professor Yunus in the Grameen Bank, succeeded in combining an activity of recovery / distribution of unsold textiles produced in Bangladesh (often presented as ” the textile factory of the World “) with that of educating children from the slums and poor neighborhoods of Dhaka and elsewhere through schools. Subsidies collected from clothing sales are used to finance these schools.

From 600 students in 2014, there are now 1,200 in 2020 who can benefit from these basic training and health information services (prevention on hygiene, water, contraception, mosquitoes, cancer of wife…).
